Contrary to manufacturers’ instructions clinicians who purchase MTA in commonly available 1 gram bottles will use the material over multiple applications.This study assessed changes in MTA particle size distribution once the packaging had been opened. The authors concluded that “smaller particles have a greater predisposition to absorb moisture.” and advised the use of single-use systems.
